The wedding photographer will choose a rustic natural setting (the beach, the woods, an old building) to photograph the bride in her gown—and sometimes with the groom, too—much like a high fashion photo shoot. Usually the rock the dress photo shoot will take place days or weeks after the wedding. Sometimes in the process, the wedding dress may get trashed, but the bride chooses this over storing the dress away in a closet never to be seen again. The photos are a creative keepsake of this special moment in a couple’s life together.
